PURAPURA WHETŪ: A SOLO EXHIBITION BY CONTEMPORARY MĀORI ARTIST TARYN BERI

NOW SHOWING 13TH JULY 2017 - 13TH OCTOBER 2017

At The Sound Temple, Sawyers Valley, Perth Hills, Western Australia.

"Taryn has been involved with exhibitions at venues such as Te Papa Tongarewa National Museum of New Zealand, The Royal Ontario Museum (Canada), The Field Museum (Chicago), Musee du quai Branly (Paris), Ora NY Gallery (New York), Museo de la las culturas (Mexico City) and Musee de la civilization (Quebec) among others. 'Purapura Whetū' is her first international solo exhibition, and features seven new large original paintings completed recently in Bali, Indonesia."

Two of the seven large original paintings have now sold, and there are five paintings currently still available for purchase. All seven original paintings remain on display for the remainder of the exhibition. 

The exhibition is running for three months from 13th July – 13th October and VIEWING IS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, or by attending events at The Sound Temple.

THE WĀHINE POWER CIRCLE

VENUE: THE SOUND TEMPLE, PERTH, AUSTRALIA

DATE: SUNDAY 14TH JANUARY 2018, 1-6PM

 

A five hour special afternoon for special women on sacred soil at The Sound Temple. 

Join other like minded women for a unique one of a kind five hour experience. Come along and indulge yourself in a unique letting go, releasing and intention setting ceremony, an ancient and deep Māori sound healing session, the sharing of stories, words, songs and prayers, and a sharing session about Māori goddesses. 

There is power in the circle and power in sharing our voices and stories together as women.

Do I have to be a Māori women to attend?
No, this experience is open to all wāhine (women) that resonate with what is on offer. The Māori word wāhine, means women. 

Please note that our Māori sound healer for this experience - Jerome Kavanagh is male.
